Water

This photograph was taken outside of my house. The water reflects the trees across the river and has a very nice landscape. I like the horizon line, because its not directly in the middle of the photograph.

Documentary Event

A couple days ago I was in the old port and was looking for a place to park. To my surprise, literally every corner had a "no parking" sign, explaining that my car would be towed, at my expense. Some parking spot were open, but there was a meter and I would have to "pay" yet again. I decided to capture this photograph because it represents the economic events that have been taking place in our society. Though the amounts of money people are loosing, don't compare to that of a parking meter; I believe it represents our economy. The bricks act as leading lines, causing the eye to be drawn to the words; the focal point of the picture.

Rural Setting

Taken at Sugarloaf, the rural setting in the background acts as a great backdrop for this picture. The slopes the behind the two girls act as leading lines, and put focus on the people. I really enjoy this photo.

People (feet, no hands)

As the snow fell today, all I could think about was rushing home and completing my "photo of the week". When I checked to see which picture requirements I had not yet completed, I was immediately drawn to "people (feet, no hands)". Though I have already captured one of these photographs, I decided to take a whack at it again. I like how this picture turned out, but it is a little bit dark.

Animals: My Dog Ted

I have a golden retriever, named Ted, and lets just say he has enough energy to spare anybody. This picture very accurately portrays his personality. If he were a human he would be completely over the top, and would even be considered annoying. The way he is devouring his dog bone really gets this across.

People (feet, no hands)

This past weekend, a couple of friends and I drove to Sugarloaf, and hit the slopes. As I was getting on the chairlift, my ski got stuck in the snow, and popped off as I was getting on. I think that this picture reflects the funny "mood" of the situation. My legs draw a line to my feet, the main focus of the picture.

"Waiting for Death"

This photograph was taken at Maine Medical Center, and though the subject is not dying, the situation she is in reflects dead, dying, and dormant. Julia is having some tests done. I photographed her in a quite state of mind that mirrors that of a sickly, dying person. It has leading lines that add the Julia’s “waiting” for death.
